ABIOVE, the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries, reported that the Soja Plus Programme, the agricultural technical assistance programme, which completed ten years in 2021, has provided technical assistance to 8,000 producers on 3,200 farms that produce 13 million tons of soy in each crop year, or about 10% of the country’s total production. In this decade, the area involved amounted to 3.7 million hectares and investments reached R$33 million.
New terms of cooperation within the scope of this Programme will be announced in an event this week, together with the Bank of Brazil. According to ABIOVE, the results achieved by the Soja Plus Programme qualify it for adoption by other Brazilian agribusiness sectors.
